Choosing a Diamond Eternity Ring

An eternity ring is one of the most enduring symbols in fine jewellery. Traditionally given to mark an anniversary or another important moment in a relationship, eternity rings are also increasingly chosen as wedding rings or simply as beautiful diamond rings in their own right.

Full and Half Eternity Rings

The principal distinction between eternity ring designs is how far the diamonds extend around the band. A full eternity ring has diamonds continuing around the entire circumference, creating an uninterrupted circle of diamonds. A half eternity ring sets diamonds across the visible upper portion of the band.

Both can look spectacular. Half eternity rings can offer greater practicality because the plain section of the band sits underneath the finger, while a full eternity ring provides diamonds from every viewing angle.

Lab Grown and Natural Diamonds

Lab Grown diamonds can make larger diamonds or greater total carat weights accessible at considerably lower prices. Natural diamonds have the rarity and geological origin that some buyers particularly value. The choice is personal, and we offer both so that you can select according to your own priorities.

Diamond Shapes and Settings

Round brilliant diamonds are a classic choice for eternity rings because of their exceptional sparkle, but different diamond shapes and setting styles can produce very different effects.

The width of the band, size and number of diamonds, total carat weight and way in which the stones are set all influence the finished appearance. A delicate eternity ring can complement an engagement ring without dominating it, while a larger diamond eternity ring can make a striking statement when worn by itself.

Choosing the Right Precious Metal

Diamond eternity rings are available in precious metals including white gold, yellow gold and platinum. White metals can create an almost continuous visual transition between the diamonds and their setting, while yellow gold provides an attractive contrast against white diamonds.

Getting the Ring Size Right

Correct sizing is particularly important with eternity rings. Designs with diamonds extending around all or much of the band can be more difficult to resize than conventional rings, especially full eternity designs.
